Senoia Crit Course Rationale

** No changes to the TT or parking for both the TT and Circuit. Both Saturday races are from downtown Senoia. < 30 minutes from ATL.

The Senoia Crit course was designed and ALL permits approved on a local level. We submitted to USAC ~ a month ago but because most of our courses are wide open USAC didn't visit the new course until late last week.

They concluded because of the narrow streets it was too dangerous for larger categories. It would probably be ok for PROAM and Masters races with smaller fields but with 50+ racers it could pose a safety issue.

The GC feels it could be done but ultimately that is not our decision. We support USAC's decision and feel if there is even a question about safety it should be addressed.

At the end of the day, we are disappointed ONLY because just like all of our races we put a lot of time and effort into that course.

However, things really do happen for a reason - we could have thwarted an accident because of the change. Plus, the NEW circuit is a PTC favorite training ride and is a great course. Those that are just CRIT racers will still love this course. Those that don't like CRITS - good news .... Its a CIRCUIT!!!

I realize that the GC and I cannot please everyone all the time but please know that I try. If for any reason you are not happy with a decision that I made or and action that I took please reach out to me and let me know your feelings. I WANT YOU HAPPY. I will do everything I can to do that.

Respectfully,

Jay~
