GC Sponsor Press Release - 12/4/10

12-4-2010 Georgia Cup 2011 From the Georgia Cup: Spincycle Sports Marketing’s Georgia Cup race series, now entering its 10th year, has risen to the top as one of the nation’s largest race series put on by a single promoter. 2011 will prove to offer substantial growth once again, with the inclusion of other events in addition to the eight race weekends offered, including the penultimate six-stage Tour of Atlanta. The Atlanta Weekday Criterium Series will take place on Wednesday nights this spring and summer. There will also be a winter training time trial series running each Saturday in January and two Saturdays in February. The group will also branch out into the hot new Grand Fondo arena, offering four of these events over the course of the summer and fall. A running series and weekday triathlon series will be added to a quiver of events as well. Altogether the series will be known as The Georgia Cup Health and Wellness Series. Champion System, manufacturers of high quality sports apparel, has signed on to be the official clothing sponsor for 2011. Champion System’s product line can be found at www.champ-sys.com. “We are excited about Champion System coming on board this year and providing top quality leaders’ jerseys to the Georgia Cup. Their custom program is phenomenal in that you can start an order with a minimum of ten pieces with an unlimited amount of color selections. Most companies I’ve dealt with in the past would never touch that,” commented Brady Rogers, Promotions and Marketing Director for Spincycle. Also jumping into the “mix” with the Georgia Cup this year will be MIX 1, www.mix1life.com . “Most athletes from seasoned professionals to weekend warriors understand how much they need to train in order to achieve their goals. Proper nutrition, along with training, can drastically improve physical performance and take an athlete to the next level. There are many sports nutrition products claiming to deliver amazing benefits that in reality fall short due to compromised or inadequate levels of ingredients. This is how I came up with the idea for MIX 1,” states MIX 1 founder Dr. James, ND. Follow the Georgia cup at www.georgiacup.com, on Facebook at Georgia Cup and on Twitter @georgiacup. We look forward to some great racing this year. See you on the road!
